
Members of the Middlesex County College Veterans and Servicemembers Association helped repair Hurricane Sandy-damaged homes in Union Beach on Oct. 12, alongside former president Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn Carter.
A total of 250 volunteers repaired 14 homes and built two new ones during the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, organized by Habitat for Humanity.
One block away, Middlesex County College military veterans helped repair another home by installing flooring and painting a bedroom, according to a press release from Middlesex County College.
