New Brunswick Man Arrested in Highland Park Stabbing
The stabbing took place in an apartment on South 11th Street in Highland Park.

A stabbing in a Highland Park apartment has resulted in the arrest of a New Brunswick man on assault and weapons charges.
Angel G. Cancel, 32, of New Brunswick, was arrested after police responded around 5:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a 36-year-old man with stab wounds in the emergency room at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
According to police, it is believed that Cancel allegedly stabbed the victim in an apartment on South 11th Street in Highland Park. The two men are acquaintances, the release said.

Cancel was arrested at the hospital and taken to Highland Park, where he was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Bail has not yet been set.
