New Brunswick Opens Cooling Center For 3rd Day In A Row
According to the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, the heat advisory will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — As the heat wave persists, for the third day in a row New Brunswick has opened a city cooling center.
The cooling center will be open from 12 to 7 p.m. at Unity Square Community Center. All are welcome.
According to the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, the heat advisory will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.

Due to excessive heat, a Code Red has been called for the city of New Brunswick. An emergency cooling center for residents who are without shelter is available Friday from 12 to 7 p.m. at Unity Square Community Center at 81 Remsen Avenue. Anyone looking for additional support should contact NJ 211.
