No Charges for Van Driver in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Police say the investigation is still pending.

Charges have not been filed against the driver of a Sunny Transportation van that struck and killed an elderly man Friday afternoon on Plum Street.

On Friday afternoon, Martin Perlman, 84, of Somerset was struck and killed on Plum Street near the intersection of French Street.

The van was owned by Sunny Transportation of Woodbridge and driven by Andrey Boguslavskiy, 56, of Union.

Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick Police said Boguslavskiy has not been charged with anything as the investigation is still pending.

He remained on site at the time of the accident, Miller previously said.
