Pedestrian Struck Saturday Behind Buccleuch Park

A pedestrian was hit by a car Saturday night on George Street, police say.

According to police spokesman Cpt. J.T. Miller, the unidentified pedestrian was hit by a car on George Street at 8:33 p.m. Saturday between Landing Lane and Route 18, in the vicinity of Buccleuch Park.

The driver stopped the car following the accident, which left the pedestrian with a leg injury, Miller said.

Information on the victim was not currently available, Miller said.

The current police report information did not show any summonses issued to the driver, Miller said.
