Who is Responsible for Cleaning Up Campaign Signs?
Now that the election is over, who is responsible for cleaning up all the campaign signs left roadside?

The election is nearly over, but dozens of campaign signs are still up around town on lawns and public places.
Who cleans up those signs?
City spokesman Russell Marchetta said an ordinance exists on the city books dictating that parties must remove their signs within seven days of an election.
Once removed, some can actually be recycled.
Signs made of paper or cardboard with metal frames can be taken apart and recycled, Marchetta said. However, signs that are composite and without metal frames go right into the trash, he said.
What do you think about campaign signs? Are they an important part of an election, or do they just generate waste and clutter around New Brunswick? Tell us in the comments below?
