Raritan River Festival Returns to Boyd Park

The 33rd Annual Raritan River Festival returns to Boyd Park on Sunday with a slew of outdoor activities suitable for all ages.

According to a press release from the City of New Brunswick, the festival begins at noon and goes until 6 p.m.

Cardboard canoe races and the Beez Foundation's Rubber Duck Race are some of the festival's more famous activities, but canoe tours, games, crafts, live music, a physics show, a magic show, and a composting workshop will be also be offered, according to the city.

Admission to all activities is free.

The Rubber Duck Race will award prizes of a $1,000 American Express gift card, an ipad, and a $250 American Express gift card, according to the city.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Beez Foundation, which raises money for brain cancer research.

Free parking is available at the nearby Rutgers University Public Safety Parking Deck, and at Boyd Park. Premium parking is available in the Rutgers Boat House parking lot for $10 per car, according to the city.
