Rutgers Student Groped at Bus Stop

A Rutgers University student was grabbed on College Avenue early Friday morning, police say.

According to a Nixle alert from the Rutgers Police Department, the student was waiting for a bus at 1:15 a.m. Friday at a Rutgers bus stop near the College Avenue Gym.

An intoxicated male "slumped over onto the victim" and then placed his hand under the victim's outer clothing and touched their pelvic area, according to Rutgers Police.

The male was pulled away by people who were with him. The victim was not injured, according to Rutgers Police.

A description of the male was not provided in the alert.
