Saint Peter's University Hospital and Telegu Association to Host Mega Health Fair

The free health fair will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Buccleuch Park.

The New Brunswick community will have access to a myriad of free health services on Saturday at a large health fair hosted by Saint Peter's University Hospital and the North American Telegu Association.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., screenings, free flu vaccines, exercise and nutrition information, pediatric health information and physician counseling will be available to attendees.

Entertainment for children is also planned.

At a press conference on Monday, Tabiri Chukunta, executive director of community outreach and diversity initiatives at Saint Peter's said that although the event is being sponsored by a specific cultural group, it is open to any and all who wish to attend.

"We work with people of all cultures and all faiths," he said. "I invite anyone who is able to come to take advantage of these free services."

The North American Telegu Association (NATA) is a Princeton-based nonprofit cultural group that aids people in the U.S. and Canada who are of the south Indian Telegu culture. For more information on NATA, visit www.nataus.org.
