Student Groped On The Rutgers Livingston Campus

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Rutgers student was groped by an unknown man early Friday evening in a student shopping area on the Livingston campus at Rutgers New Brunswick.

This occurred at 5:15 p.m. at the 105 Joyce Kilmer Avenue in Piscataway, at what is known at the school as the Livingston retail area, according to Rutgers University Police.

The young woman, who attends Rutgers, said an unknown man approached her from behind and made unwanted contact with her intimate area. She was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as an 18-25-year-old white man, approximately 5'8"-5'9" in height, with blonde hair and a stubble beard. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, possibly of Nike or Adidas brand.

The Rutgers University Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the RUPD’s Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
