Three Things to Do in Town This Weekend

A guide to some of the events scheduled this weekend in the New Brunswick area.

1. The American Repertory Ballet will premiere a performance of Romeo and Juliet, with music provided by the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at State Theatre. Tickets range from $27-$57.

2. Join Jewish Women of East Brunswick (JWEB) for a spa day at the Spa at the Heldrich.

The day runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, and features a buffet lunch. Guest speaker Jackie Bitton will present "Achieving the Impossible When You Believe in Yourself."
 
The entrance fee with services is $25 plus the cost of services or $36 without services. Participants will have access to the spa pool and exercise room.

3. Are you a science fiction fan? The USS Avenger, the central New Jersey chapter for Starfleet, the official Star Trek fan club organization, will have a meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the North Brunswick Public Library on Hermann Road.

The club will discuss "near future" science fiction stories that take place within 30-70 years of the present day, according to a press release from the club.

The meeting is open to the public, and those interested are welcome to attend.
