Victim Punched, Robbed Outside Camden Chase Bank

This happened last Wednesday, April 10. The person was injured seriously enough that they had to be taken to the hospital:

CAMDEN, NJ — Someone was robbed outside the Chase bank in Camden at 1:40 in the morning last Wednesday, April 10.

The person was struck and then robbed. While the incident was announced by Rutgers campus police, the victim is not a Rutgers student or affiliated with the school.

This happened between 1:40-1:50 a.m. April 10 outside Chase bank at 534 Federal Street in Camden. The victim reported they engaged in conversation with a group of four individuals while on Federal Street. One of the individuals struck the victim, then stole personal property, not specified by police what they stole, but presumably cash. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and had to be taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The description of the perpetrators is limited at this time and fled the area on foot towards Broadway.

Rutgers University Police asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the RUPD’s Detective Bureau at 856-225-6111.
