Wire Problems Temporarily Close Jersey Avenue Station

The station is operating normally at present, according to NJ Transit.

A temporary closure at the NJ Transit Jersey Avenue train station this morning relocated parking for some commuters, according to the city.

City spokesman Russell Marchetta said commuters who normally park at Jersey Avenue will have their parking honored at the Wellness Plaza and Gateway parking decks.

A spokesman at NJ Transit said the closure of the station was due to wire problems with Amtrak, and was only for about half an hour, starting around 6 a.m. The station is back up and running currently, he said.
