5 Things to Do In (and near) New Milford This Weekend
Drop the kids off at the high school for babysitting night, buy some art and more!

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, look no further.
- What: offered by the sophomore class
- Where: high school cafeteria.
- When: Friday, December 9th from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
- Why: Why not? And, students and faculty will entertain children in grades K-5 with crafts, snacks, movies and more! This will give parents and guardians a little free time for a dinner out, some shopping time, or whatever!
- Cost: $15 per child and $8 for additional children in the same immediate family.
- What: Small Works Show & Sale at Art Center of Northern NJ
- Where: The Art Center of Northern NJ, 250 Center Street, New Milford
- When: Saturday and Sunday
- Why: The chance to purchase one-of-a-kind original works of art
- Cost: Free admission
- What: Santa at the Historic Maywood Train Station
- Where: 269 Maywood Avenue, Maywood
- When: Sat. Dec. 10, 10am to 11:30am
- Why: Santa at the 1872 train station can only conjure Polar Express
- Cost: Free
- What: Sundays@Schechter: "Hanukkah-Fest with ShirLaLa in Concert"
- Where: Solomon Schechter Day School, 275 McKinley Ave., New Milford
- When: Sun. Dec 11, 10am to 11:30am
- Why: ShirLaLa, the outrageously hip, Jewish kiddie-rocker, Shira Kline, will be there.

- What: Shelter our Sisters First Annual Holiday Boutique “Shop for the Shelter”
