New Milford Woman Assaulted Cops During DUI Arrest: Police
The woman resisted arrest and told the officers she would kill them and threatened their families, police said.
NEW MILFORD, NJ — A woman said she would kill police officers and threatened their families during a DUI arrest Thursday night, police announced.
Alexandra Defino, 25, of New Milford was charged with driving under the influence and three counts of making terroristic threats, said Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders.
Defino was stopped by a New Milford police officer on River Road for a motor vehicle violation at about 11:42 p.m. Thursday, Van Saders said. She was loud and uncooperative during the stop, he said.

An officer asked Defino to get out of her vehicle for a field sobriety test, but she refused, fought with police, and resisted arrest, Van Saders said.
Defino said she would kill the officers at the scene and threatened their family members, Van Saders said.

While in the back of the police car, Defino kicked the back door. At headquarters, she fought with officers while they fingerprinted her and took her picture, the lieutenant said.
Defino also hit two police officers while they placed her into a holding cell, Van Saders said.
Defino was also charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief, Van Saders said.
