Five Things You Need To Know Today: Feb. 10

Patch's guide around the borough today.

1. The boys' basketball teams will play at Roselle Catholic. The freshman team will play at 4 p.m., junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.

2. The girls' freshman basketball team will host Bayonne at 4 p.m. while the girls' junior varsity and varsity basketball teams will host Jonathan Dayton. JV will play at 5:30 p.m. and varsity will tip off at 7 p.m.

3. The is holding a work session at 8 p.m. in the High School/Middle School Media Center. Sandra Searing will present the District's Curriculum Report and the board will further discuss the 2011/2012 proposed budget.

4. The New Providence Business & Professional Association will host a Legislative Forum with Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick and Senator Tom Kean Jr. at 6 p.m. at the NJ Sharing Network. Register by emailing communications@npbpa.com. 

5. Thirteen students from the New Providence Middle School and High School have advanced to the national finals for the , achieving a regional Gold Key award. Their work will be on display at the Montclair Art Museum and will be honored at a standing-room-only award ceremony at 7 p.m. in the large assembly room.
