1. ARTWORK BY THE ADULT DRAWING AND PAINTING CLASS

Why Go: Artwork made by local residents, who were instructed by Marjan Nirou Saniee from the Recreation Department, will be on display.

2. PIONEERS' WINTER TRACK TEAMS COMPETE AT THE NORTH 2 GROUP 1 STATE MEET

Where/When: Toms River, NJ, Sunday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: The team should drill out several great performances and the top six will move onto the State Group I meet on Feb. 11.

3. MEATBALL MANIA TECHNIQUE CLASS

Where/When: Williams-Sonoma, Short Hills Mall, 1200 Morris Tpke, Short Hills, NJ; Saturday at various times.

Why Go: You can learn how to make one of the best comfort foods – meatballs! The recipes include herbs and spices, ranging from classic Italian to Vietnamese.

Pricing: Unknown, but space is limited. Call 973-467-3641 in advance to reserve your space and learn about class times.

4. SUMMIT YMCA FAMILY NIGHT

Where/When: Summit YMCA, 67 Maple Street, Summit, NJ 07901; Saturday, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Families can enjoy a Valentine themed night out, filled with a scavenger hunt, decathlon, a family dance in the auditorium and kids in the kitchen cooking.

5. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Where/When: Mayo Center for the Performing Arts, 100 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960; Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Why go: This Classic Disney film will be brought to the stage with Belle, the Beast, and the rest of the film’s characters.

CHOCOLATE AND HEALTH CLASS: IS CHOCOLATE THE NEW HEALTH FOOD?

Where/When: Rutgers Cooperative Extension offices in Westfield, NJ; Thursday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Why Go: Learn the whole truth about Chocolate at this class, which includes tastings and recipes.
