Here's How Many Bullying Cases Were Reported In New Providence

New Jersey has released its annual list of harassment, intimidation, and bullying cases by each school district.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The New Providence School District reported 17 harassment, intimidation, and bullying cases during the 2017-18 academic year, numbers recently released by the state shows.

The New Providence School District averaged 7.19 cases per 1,000 students, which was 205th highest out of 550 school districts in the state.

The Berkeley Heights School District reported 19 bullying cases, and averaged 7.27 cases per 1,000 students, which was 201st highest in the state.

The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately.
