Internal Medicine Physician Joins Summit Medical Group
Dr. Anum Waqar has joined Summit Medical Group's Internal Medicine team at their Berkeley Heights office.

From Summit Medicare: Anum Waqar, DO, has joined Summit Medical Group’s Internal Medicine team at their 1 Diamond Hill Road, Berkeley Heights office. Dr. Waqar is board certified in internal medicine and positioned to skillfully diagnose, manage, and treat patients with common medical issues or severe chronic conditions.
Dr. Waqar was a resident of internal medicine at United Health Services Wilson Medical Center, as well as a clinical assistant instructor of Upstate Medical University. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Rochester, following medical school training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Waqar has been awarded with multiple honors, including the UHS Internal Medicine Clinic Resident Award, the Mark J. Marmora, DO, Memorial Award, the LECOM Academic Excellence Scholarship. She is a member of both the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Waqar cares greatly for her patients and believes in the importance of getting to know each one of them. She enjoys developing lifelong and meaningful relationships and strives to partner with patients in making informed decisions on their health. Dr. Waqar strongly believes lifestyle is a critical contributor to well-being and strives to provide patients with important information about maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and staying away from smoking.
