New Providence, NJ -- Considering going away for Memorial Day weekend? Wait until you hear what the New Providence has planned to celebrate the lives and memories of the United States' fallen soldiers.

On Monday, May 30, New Providence remembers the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in this country’s armed forces.

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. along Springfield Avenue between Central Avenue and Academy Street. After the parade, American Legion Post #433 (next to the library) and the DeCorso Community Center (15 East 4th Street) invite everyone for Hot Dogs and light refreshments.

Salute to the Dead, Taps & Star Spangled Banner

  • Immediately following the concluding service everyone is invited to: American Legion Post #433 next to NP Memorial Library for food & refreshment and to view “Military Apparel Display” and The DeCorso Community Center on 4th Street & Livingston
