New Providence Holiday Festival Kicks Off Nov. 24

The new 2017 Holiday Festival, featuring the Christmas Walk, International Celebrations and fireworks, kicks off on Nov. 24 on South Street.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The new 2017 Holiday Festival, featuring the Christmas Walk, International Celebrations and fireworks, kicks off Friday, Nov. 24 on South Street and continues on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25.

The annual Christmas Walk, an evening gathering traditionally held on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the downtown area, will be part of the Holiday Festival. The festival will feature the New Providence Marching Band and the arrival of Santa; various customs and celebrations from around the world; and Friday night fireworks sponsored by NP Fuel!

The event continues the next day with offers and activities on Small Business Saturday. This huge event will take place in downtown New Providence and will offer treats, activities, entertainment, raffles, giveaways, and more.

The event takes place downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 24. South Street, portions of the Village Shopping Center parking lot, and Adams Shopping Center parking lot will close at 4 p.m. on Nov. 24. Additional parking will be available at the Community Pool parking lot.
