New Providence School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The first day of school at New Providence is September 5— and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The New Providence School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/5: Students' First Day
• 9/10: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/5 - 11/7: Early Dismissal (Grades 1-6 Only)/Parent Teacher Conferences
• 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/21: Early Dismissal
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/21: Early Dismissal
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/23 - 1/25: Early Dismissal (Kindergarten Only)/Parent Teacher Conferences

February

• 2/15 - 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/19 - 6/21: Early Dismissal
• 6/21: Last Day of School
