NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The first day of school at New Providence is September 5— and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The New Providence School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

  • 11/5 - 11/7: Early Dismissal (Grades 1-6 Only)/Parent Teacher Conferences
  • 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Convention)
  • 11/21: Early Dismissal
  • 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving)
