New Providence School Earns Artists In Residency Grant

The grant will help place professional teaching artists into long-term residencies.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — A New Providence school is one of just 13 to receive grant that will allow more professional artists to teach local students.

The Morris-Union Jointure Commission received one of the $10,000 grants provided by the Artists in Education Residency Grant Program.

The grant will help the school place professional teaching artists to the school for long-term residencies. The program focuses on direct learning about the arts and processes of creating art, including the skills, techniques, and concepts of various art forms.
