Pedestrian Holding Baby Hit By Car While Crossing Street In Union County: Police
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian was issued a summons, said police.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — A pedestrian holding a baby was hit by a car while crossing the street on Tuesday in New Providence, said police.
At around 12:27 p.m., 911 calls from witnesses reported a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Central Avenue, said New Providence Police Captain Steve Drown.
Officers and EMS evaluated the pedestrian and baby. The adult pedestrian was taken to the hospitalwith minor injuries, said Drown.

No injuries were reported to the baby. The baby was taken to the pediatrician by a parent as a precaution, said Drown.
The initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian was on Springfield Avenue crossing Central Avenue and was hit by the vehicle as it made a left turn, said Drown.
