New Providence High School Graduates Class of 2013

Ceremony moved into high school auditorium due to thunderstorms.

New Providence High School graduated 150 seniors on Tuesday night in the school’s auditorium.

The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on Lieder Field, but the threat of thunderstorms prompted the move indoors.

After the faculty processional and student processional, “Pomp and Circumstance,” Senior Class President Julia Loria led everyone in the Flag Salute, followed by the National Anthem.

Student Council President Kyle Kroeger welcomed everyone to the ceremony just before the Band and Chorus performed the school’s Alma Mater and the Concert Choir sang “Omnia Sol.”

Principal Paul Casarico introduced Valedictorian Allison R. Hartenstein and Salutatorian Kyle John Kroeger, who delivered their speeches just before Casarico certified the Class of 2013.

Superintendent David Miceli presented the Class of 2013. Board of Education member Adam Smith and Board Vice President William Dibble presented diplomas to the senior class along with Miceli and Casarico. 

Kathryn Meyers offered reflections on the Class of 2013 just before she and her classmates moved their tassels from one side to the other, and threw their caps in the area.
