Self-Management Diabetes Workshop in Union County
Workshop attendees will learn how to manage their health and their diabetes.

Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc. is partnering with the Plainfield Senior Center and Plainfield Public Library to provide free diabetes education.
The free workshops will be will be a part of the Everyone with Diabetes Counts program (EDC), a national initiative of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The program offers free workshops open to those with diabetes, family members and caregivers.
According to a release from the County of Union, the free workshops follow the Diabetes Self-Management Program created by the Stanford School of Medicine. Individuals who attend the workshops will learn to manage their health and take control of their diabetes.

The first set of the free six-week workshop will be offered at the Plainfield Senior Center, 400 East Front St. in Plainfield, each Wednesday from April 1 through May 6. The workshop will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The second set will be held at the Plainfield Public Library, 800 Park Ave. in Plainfield, each Friday from April 10 through May 15. The second set of the workshops will also take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
