Shop Local New Providence Presents Pet Fun Day
Pet Costume Contest from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29
The Shop Local New Providence Committee announces Pet Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 29 from noon until 3 p.m. at the Village Shopping Center, 1260 Springfield Ave. in New Providence, NJ.
The annual event is a one-day celebration of our four-legged friends, complete with pet costume contest and a sponsored pet adoption.
Everyone is invited to attend (rain or shine) – especially pets. The highlight of the event will be the pet costume contest at 1 p.m. In 2010, more than 30 dressed-up pets came to strut their stuff to the delighted onlookers. This year should prove just as entertaining. In addition, there will be rescue organizations on-hand for those who are looking to adopt a loveable dog or cat.

The goal of Shop Local New Providence is to build community awareness on how important it is to support neighborhood businesses.
Kristy Braunschweiger, Co-Chairman of the event, stated, “Pet Fun Day is a wonderful community event that gives area residents a chance to get together, talk pets, have fun and shop. Most importantly, it will remind attendees of all the great businesses that are conveniently located right in their own town.”
