Fanwood, Garwood To Combine Municipal Services

The towns already share a court administrator.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood and Garwood are set to share municipal operations moving forward after a resolution was approved on Dec. 15 by the Fanwood Borough Council.

The resolution said the move is being made "in order to conserve resources and to provide for a more efficient and more economically sound municipal court system."

The towns currently share a court administrator. Through another resolution on Dec. 15, the Fanwood Borough Council approved the extension of the court administrator to last until the shared services are approved by the state and the operations begin.
