St. Patrick School 2nd Graders Reach Milestone
Students Participate In First Reconciliation

On Friday, November 30th at 7:00 p.m. the 2nd Grade class from St. Patrick School in Chatham participated in their First Reconciliation. The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, in which the faithful obtain absolution for the sins committed against God and neighbor and are reconciled with the community of the Church.
Conducting Reconciliation on Friday evening were the following: Fr. Bob Mitchell and Fr. Kamil Kiszka of St. Patrick Parish; Fr. Lemmuel Camacho from Corpus Christi Parish Community in Chatham Township; Fr. Lucas Wnuk from Assumption Parish in Morristown; and Fr. Przemyslaw Gawlik from St. Vincent Martyr in Madison.
St. Patrick School, which was founded in 1872, is a National Blue Ribbon School and one of only four Catholic elementary schools in the nation to achieve STEM Certification from preschool through Grade 8 from AdvancED, a national school accrediting agency. The school is located adjacent to St. Patrick Parish in the heart of historic Chatham in Morris County, New Jersey. St. Patrick School follows the curriculum guidelines outlined by the Diocese of Paterson and based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.
