Nellie Pou, is now favored for re‑election after her 2024 near-scare, as frequent GOP challenger Billy Prempeh suspends his 2026 bid in the 9th District. Prempeh blames Republican Party leaders for sidelining him, leaving other Republicans to vie for a chance to take on Pou in the Paterson-based swing district.
