• Lawsuit Arising From Scrapped Dune Project Is Dropped (capemaycountyherald.com) — North Wildwood residents will see a major shift in the long-debated Five-Mile Dune project, as the Army Corps has canceled the $54 million plan and North Wildwood has dropped its related lawsuit against Wildwood Crest. The city is now suing the DEP over the cancellation, while outgoing Mayor Patrick Rosenello says the beach isn’t in terrible shape and incoming leadership will decide next steps for replenishment.
   

• W. Wildwood, N. Wildwood Sign 10-year Police Pact (capemaycountyherald.com) — North Wildwood police will provide full-time patrols in neighboring West Wildwood under a new 10-year contract starting January 1, 2026, with options to extend. The deal could eventually merge or dissolve West Wildwood’s department, sets monthly payments to North Wildwood, and keeps all current officers employed while clarifying who supervises policing in each town.
   

• This Bergen County School District Spends Second Most Per Student In NJ: Report (patch.com) — North Wildwood City’s K-8 school district tops New Jersey’s per-student spending list at about $47,000 per pupil, according to the state’s latest Taxpayer’s Guide. The piece compares that figure with other districts, including high-spending Saddle River, and explains what costs are included in these calculations.
