• Nutley Kicks Off Large Sidewalk Construction Project Near Park Oval (patch.com) — Nutley has started a major sidewalk widening project along Franklin Avenue by the Park Oval, aiming to improve safety near Nutley High School and John H. Walker Middle School. Funded by a federal grant, the work adds wider sidewalks, traffic calming, rain gardens, and underground stormwater systems, with completion expected by year’s end and similar upgrades being studied for other town roads. 
• Nutley Public Schools Respond to Relief for Families Affected by Weekend Fire (tapinto.net) — Several Nutley residents, including school families, were displaced by a weekend fire, and the Nutley Public Schools are coordinating organized relief efforts. Families can contact their building principals or PTOs to donate or request support, with plans evolving over the coming days and weeks as needs become clearer during the holiday season.
