76-Year-Old Woman 'Pinned' Beneath SUV In Oakland: Police

A woman was trapped beneath her vehicle in the lot of an Oakland healthcare center, police said.

OAKLAND, NJ — A 76-year-old woman was trapped underneath her compact SUV on Thursday near Oakland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, after she got out of the vehicle without putting it in park, Oakland Police Captain Timothy Keenan said.

Fire units lifted the vehicle to free the victim, who was pinned when the Nissan Rogue rolled backwards over her in the lot of the healthcare center, where she was visiting a sibling, Keenan said.

The victim, a California resident, was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries to her upper body, police said.
