UPDATE: Indian Hills HS Sophomore Fractured Skull, Spine After Jumping Off Stack of Mats
The injury came after the boy jumped off a stack of mats that was about eight feet high and hit his head on the floor.

The 10th grader from Indian Hills High School who had to be airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center Tuesday morning after jumping off a stack of mats fractured his skull and spine, Superintendent Beverly MacKay said.
The boy does not have spinal cord injuries and is expected to recover after he jumped off a stack of mats that was about eight feet high, according to NorthJersey.com.
The boy was conscious when he was placed into the helicopter around 7:45 a.m. with his mother Tuesday morning. Cliffview Pilot reported the boy suffered “severe head trauma.”
