Mother's Day is May 12: Here Are Some Last Minute Ideas

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Patch is bringing you a quick guide to the best bets for Mother’s Day activities in Bergen County.

And don't forget: reservations are most definitely recommended.

Chef Thomas Ciszak will be cooking some of his favorite dishes, many of them featuring spring ingredients such as ramps, white and green asparagus, peas and morel mushroom.

In a survey last year, Wyckoff-Franklin Lakes Patch readers lauded Cafe Amici's Mother's Day fare, so we'll pass the recommendation on to you.

Jack’s Cafe and Bibi'z in Westwood are popular with the mom crowd and, as such, expect a crowd and call ahead.

At Bibi’z, look for leg of lamb, turkey pasta, salads, made-to-order eggs, and a selection of desserts with unlimited mimosas & bloody marys. The brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $35 for adults.

In New MilfordSanzari's New Bridge Inn and Garden Cafe both offer a special Mother's Day menu.

Last, but not least, River Edge Diner & Restaurant and Sanducci’s, both in River Edge, might be a good place to look for the hungry mother.

Non-brunch bonus suggestion: here's something really out of the Bergen County box. Consider exploring the wine trails of New Jersey with your special old lady. With dozens of them to try across the state, the winery option may prove to be a fun-filled day trip this Mother's Day.
