OAKLAND, NJ βPolice released information about incidents that occurred in the borough recently.
- Sept. 8: As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 287 for failing to maintain lane, Officer Christopher Tinio arrested a 27-year-old Prospect Park man for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and later released to the custody of a family member. A court appearance has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court.
- Sept. 11: While on patrol, Officer Timothy McDonough initiated a motor vehicle stop on Raritan Road that resulted in the arrest of a local resident for multiple active warrants issued from the Wayne and Midland Park municipal courts. The 37-year-old woman was taken into custody, processed, and later released on bail.
- While on patrol, Officer Michael Griffin initiated a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Avenue that resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old man from Piscataway for multiple active warrants issued from the Dunellen, Perth Amboy, and Piscataway municipal courts. The offender was taken into custody, processed, and later released on bail. The offender was also issued a summons for driving with a suspended license.
