Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge Appoints Executive Director

The RBARI announced the appointment of a new Executive Director on Wednesday.

The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge Inc. announced Wednesday that they had found some new leadership.

Tricia McAleer has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the animal refuge.

“[McAleer] just started Tuesday but she has really hit the ground running,” said RBARI Board President Terry Blake. “She has an excellent background, we have a lot of confidence in her abilities and she has been terrific so far.”

The RBARI went on to describe some of the attributes that made McAleer the best candidate for the position:

McAleer’s strong background in the non-profit sector will be essential as she provides strategic direction for the organization and oversee its fundraising, marketing and outreach efforts. McAleer brings a lifelong dedication to animal welfare with her to RBARI. The Bergen County native has volunteered at several shelters and adopted, fostered and even placed some lucky dogs and cats in loving homes herself.

“I am honored to be serving as RBARI’s Executive Director,” McAleer said.  “I have been searching for an organization to match my passion for animal welfare and when I found RBARI I knew it was the right fit for me.”
