Ramapo Indian Hills School Board Approves District Security Coordinator Position

The position will serve as the primary contact for school security systems.

The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District’s Board of Education has approved a district security coordinator position that will ”reach out to the police chiefs of each three towns in the school district in order to provide consistency and security planning,” Superintendent Beverly MacKay said.

The position will “serve as the primary contact for school security systems,” according to NorthJersey.com. The position will also be responsible for monitoring the facilities’ security, conducting security tours, overseeing security investigations and more.

MacKay said officials have talked about the position since last summer.
