Cape Assist’s tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 5 brightens the holidays
The exquisite trees and beautiful ornaments are a symbol of hope for those affected by addiction

Wildwood, N.J. – Cape Assist’s Trees of Hope tree lighting ceremony will not just brighten the holidays, but also be a glowing dedication to those affected by addiction. Families, friends, and the community are welcome to attend the event, which takes place from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Cape Assist, 3819 New Jersey Ave., Wildwood.
The exquisite trees are filled with beautiful ornaments, both serving as a symbol of hope for those who have been touched by addiction and those striving for a better tomorrow – for themselves, their families, and their community. The trees are a shining remembrance of those who are no longer with us, too.
“The holidays are regarded as a time of happiness for many, but for others, this time of year can be difficult,” said Cape Assist’s Executive Director and CEO Katie Faldetta. “We want everyone to know they are not alone with their struggles this season. Our tree lighting ceremony brings people together to share stories, smile, honor loved ones and embrace the holidays. We grow stronger together.”

The Trees of Hope tree lighting ceremony began many years ago, with just one tree in the Cape Assist office that featured ornaments dedicated to others. It expanded to an outdoor event highlighting twelve trees filled with meaningful ornaments in 2018.
The trees will be on display through December, and ornaments can be picked up at Cape Assist after the New Year. For more information, visit www.capeassist.org/toh.
