Music Pier Shows To Feature Elvis Presley Hits, A Capella Group

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Wacky Wednesday, Family Night and a Music Pier show featuring Elvis Presley hits are on tap in Ocean City this week.

Presley’s hits will come to life on the Ocean City Music Pier stage on Friday and Saturday in the new Broadway musical comedy “All Shook Up,” starring Ocean City Theatre Company’s High School Jr Company.

The madcap musical comedy based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” plays July 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 609-399-6111 or online.

On Monday Aug. 2, the a cappella group Straight No Chaser will showcase a wide range of music at the Music Pier during two shows.

The concerts begin at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster or in person at the Music Pier Box Office (by cash or check only).

Wednesday, July 28

Ocean City’s “Wacky But Not Tacky” series of Wacky Wednesdays continues at 10:30 a.m. on July 28 at the Ocean City Music Pier. The event invites people to participate in various activities and contests.

This week, participants will receive a brown paper bag filled with random supplies. The mission in this “Mystery Bag” contest: create an object, sculpture or unique work of art using everything in the bag. No advance registration is required for this free family event.

The weekly Farmers Market on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle continues 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday through Sept. 29. The market features fresh produce from local farms in the region, along with a variety of craft vendors.

Thursday, July 29

Market Days entertainment and activities on downtown Asbury Avenue will run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 29 and continue Thursday mornings through the season.

Family Night entertainers at various blocks on the Ocean City Boardwalk will perform Thursday evenings 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
