NJ Swimmer, 79, Killed In Jersey Shore Boat Crash: Police
The victim was swimming near a floating dock at a waterfront residence at the time of the crash, state police said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - A 79-year-old swimmer died Saturday after she was hit by a boat off the coast of Atlantic City, authorities said.
At around 5:14 p.m., New Jersey State Police Marine Service Bureau troopers responded to the Intracoastal Waterway near the Dorsett Avenue Bridge in Atlantic City, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police told Patch.
An initial investigation found that, in the Intracoastal Waterway, a 20-foot Robalo vessel struck a female swimming in the area of a floating dock located at a residence on Boulevard Avenue in Atlantic City.

The swimmer, Norma Michaels 79, of Ventnor, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, state police said.
The vessel operator, Jeffrey Jastrzembski, 52, of Atlantic City, was uninjured and remained on scene, state police said.
