OC Waterpark Closes Lazy River, Reduces Hours Due To Staff Shortage
The OC Waterpark announced it will be open on select days through Sept. 6 and closing its lazy river attraction due to staffing challenges.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The OC Waterpark announced it will be open on select days through Sept. 6 and closing a popular attraction due to staffing challenges.
The water park will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 24-28 and Sept. 3-6. In an announcement, OC Waterpark said its lazy river will be closed for the remainder of the season.
“We are committed to providing you the best experience possible during your visit. However industry wide staffing challenges have pushed us to make some difficult decisions,” the park wrote on its website.

Due to the inconvenience, the park said it will be running a daily ticket promotion for the rest of the 2021 season:
- All-Day, All-Access Tickets: $29.95 (Over 48") / $24.95 (Under 48")
- 3 Hour Tickets: $27.95 (Over 48") / $22.95 (Under 48")
- Pre-sold, unused 2021 tickets will be valid for use next season.
The water park also has an offer for season passholders. 2021 season passholders can complete this form for two free all-day tickets for the 2022 season.
