One Criterion for Doo Dah Parade Entries: Fun
The city invites any group, business or individual to participate in the annual spring parade.

Ocean City is distributing an entry form (see attached PDF) for anybody to participate in the 28th annual Doo Dah Parade on April 13.
The form includes the following information:

WHO MAY ENTER: Any individual or group with a fun theme — this is a celebration of humor
WHEN IS THE PARADE? Saturday, April 13, 2013 at noon

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES? 1-Brigades, 2-Individuals, 3-Basset Hound Waddle, 4- Miscellaneous, 5-Impersonators of Legendary Comedians, 6-Whatever
CLARIFICATION: Brigades consist of three or more deranged entrants. Themes may include anything within the parameters of propriety. Remember: Ocean City is a family-oriented resort.
INDIVIDUALS: If you’d like to march and make your mark on Doo Dah history without anyone else’s support, that’s just fine.
MISCELLANEOUS: Includes aliens from outer space, dragons, unidentified flying objects, mechanical ketchup bottles, unicorns and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc.
Basset Hounds or any other dog that will not eat another dog are welcome …Basset hounds are a separate division. For registration information access: www.tristatebassets.org or call Susan Mason (856) 678-1105.
WHERE DO YOU LINE UP? At Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue, April 13 starting 11 a.m.
IS THERE A FEE? Nope.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? 28th anniversary “I Was A Hotdog For A Day” T-Shirt from Dietz and Watson, plus free hotdogs and beverage after the parade, plus lots of fun at America’s Greatest Family and Doo Dah Resort! We are completely open and ready to serve our visitors.
NOW WHAT DO YOU DO? Use scissors or your teeth to cut at line on the attached entry form. Then quick like a bunny or slow like a basset, fill out coupon and send it back or drop it off or whatever.
