Police Seek Gun-Wielding Man In South Jersey Road Rage Incident

The unknown man threatened a USPS worker with a gun before fleeing the scene in the Upper Township road rage incident, police said.

UPPER TWP., NJ — State police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who threatened a USPS worker with a firearm in a road rage incident earlier this month.

The incident occurred on Feb. 6 on Route 50 in Upper Township, New Jersey State Police said. It was about 12:37 p.m. when the suspect, driving a black Cadillac SUV with an unknown NJ registration, had an altercation with a USPS postal worker while heading north on the Route 50 bridge, police said.

Both people were outside of their vehicles when the suspect brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, between 40- and 50-years-old, with dirty blond hair, a scruffy beard and wearing a dark t-shirt.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the NJSP Troop 'A' Woodbine Station – Criminal Investigation Office at 609-861-5698. Anonymous tips are welcome.
