Somers Point Woman Killed In Single-Car Crash: Police

A Somers Point woman died in a single-car crash in Pleasantville on Tuesday morning, police said Thursday.

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — A Somers Point woman died in a single-car crash in Pleasantville on Tuesday morning, Lt. Stacey Schlachter said Thursday.

At 6:30 a.m., Pleasantville police responded to North Main Street and Utah Avenue for a report of a single-car crash, Schlachter said.

According to police, Allison Tomsello, 31, was traveling north on Main Street when her vehicle veered off the road, and collided with a retention wall and telephone pole.

Tomsello was pronounced dead at the scene, Schlachter said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Detective Juan Morillo.

The Pleasantville Fire Department, Northfield Police Department, Galloway Township Police Department, Tricare and Atlanticare Medics assisted at the scene.
