South Jersey Woman Killed Sister, Made It Look Like Suicide: Reports
Emily Cruddas died in 2023. Authorities allege her sister, Sarah Errickson, injected her with a lethal dose of drugs, reports say.
UPPER TWP., NJ — A South Jersey woman is accused of injecting her sister with a lethal dose of drugs and making the death appear to be a suicide, according to reports.
Sarah Errickson, 36, was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder on Jan. 23, 2025, court records show. The charges stem from the 2023 death of her sister, 21-year-old Emily Cruddas.
Also charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder is Joseph Ragan, 22, of Philadelphia.

Cruddas was initially found dead in her Upper Township home in 2023, according to 6abc Action News.
About a month later, Ragan asked to make a statement about Cruddas's death without an attorney present, the outlet reported.

Ragan - Cruddas's boyfriend - and Errickson allegedly carried out the plot to kill Cruddas after she returned from a five-day hospital stay, NJ Advance Media reported.
They gave Cruddas Xanax before injecting her with 10 to 12 bags of heroin and fentanyl, according to the report.
A witness told investigators that Errickson had suggested Cruddas was responsible for her losing her house and children, NJ Advance Media reported.
