Beach Patrol Season Begins: See Where Guards Will Be In Ocean City
The Ocean City Beach Patrol starts their season Friday. Here's where you can find them:

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us, meaning that soon, summer will be here.
In Ocean City, summer begins Friday with the Unlocking of the Ocean and the Business Persons Plunge at 12 p.m. at Moorlyn Terrace St. Beach.
And the Ocean City Beach Patrol's season begins.

The OCBP guards beaches from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
From Saturday, May 24, 2025 through Friday, May 30, 2025, the following beaches will be guarded:

- St. Charles Place
- Brighton Place
- 8th Street
- 9th Street
- 10th Street
- 11th Street
- 12th Street
- 22nd Street
- 26th Street
- 34th Street
- 58th Street
Ninth Street Beach will be guarded starting on Friday, May 23. Check back at ocnj.us/ocbp as more guarded beaches are added throughout the rest of May and June.
EMT Services will be available at the 12th Street and 58th Street stations.
Lifeguard stands may not be exactly at street ends as guards will place the stand in the safest area depending on water conditions. The Ocean City Beach Patrol strongly urges bathers to swim only at guarded beaches. If you have any questions, call 609-525-9200. For all emergencies, call 911.
