Time Card Fraud Indictment For NJ City Police Department Employee

The former Atlantic City Police Department employee was indicted by a grand jury after 174 unaccounted hours were identified.

MAYS LANDING, NJ – A former Atlantic City Police Department employee has been indicted on charges in connection with time card fraud, authorities said.

Suzanne Ricketts, 43, of Pleasantville, was indicted on Thursday by a grand jury for official misconduct, theft by deception and computer crimes, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The charges stem from a 2020 investigation into alleged discrepancies in Ricketts’ timesheets while she was an employee of the police department. A review of the surveillance and computer systems showed differences between the times Ricketts was physically at the Atlantic City Police Department and what was listed in the payroll system, of which Ricketts was in charge.
