Waves for Water Fundraiser on Tuesday Benefits Sandy Relief

Steve & Cookies restaurant in Margate will be host to a Tuesday (Dec. 18) fundraiser for Waves for Water's Hurricane Sandy Relief Initiative.

A $20 donation will go straight to shore-area restoration efforts but also give participants a variety of great food and Yards beer during the 6 to 9 p.m. event.

Waves for Water is an international organization founded by surfers and dedicated to providing clean water to communities around the world. The local members are currently working on storm relief efforts.

Jon Rose, founder of Waves for Water, will be at the event to personally tell everyone about what the group has done so far and what future plans are. The boys from Ergo and Jetty will be there and have their Restore the Shore and Unite & Rebulid gear available for purchase to help the cause as well.

There will also be a small raffle with some great items available.
