Wildwood Crest Contractor Charged With Theft

A contractor has been charged with theft of more than $200,000 and not completing construction work, prosecutors said Tuesday.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — A contractor has been charged with theft of more than $200,000 and not completing construction work, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland said Tuesday.

Sutherland said the Cape May County Department of Consumer Affairs has received multiple complaints regarding John Ferry, 57, of Wildwood Crest.

Following an investigation, Ferry was arrested and charged on Aug. 18 with taking more than $200,000 from three separate clients and not completing construction work that was agreed upon.

Ferry was processed and released on a summons pending court proceedings.
